Local Partners

New Community Outreach is a community based, non-profit organization committed to the healing, reconciliation, and building up of Chicago’s greater Bronzeville youth and community through restorative justice. We work collaboratively with residents and organizations of the South Side of Chicago to mitigate the impact and reduce the causes of physical and emotional trauma and raise the opportunities for community equity and individual flourishing.

Building on the ministry of New Community Covenant Church, we lead restorative justice programing at a high school, maintain a community garden, and organize a community-wide back-to-school fair among other neighborhood initiatives.

The Sew Safe Project is looking for volunteers to make protective face masks for our church members, friends, neighbors and essential workers. The CDC recommends all wear face masks in public, so the demand continues to increase. The Outreach Team will provide instructions and materials that the CDC and hospitals have recommended for homemade masks. So, if you sew, would like to learn how to sew a mask, or may have fabric you can donate, please contact office@hinsdalecovenant.com.

DuPage PADS is our outreach partner working to end homelessness in DuPage County. Once DuPage PADS is able to host overnight housing we be assisting the site locations. Opportunities to serve include site setup, assisting with dinner, cleaning up, and overnight supervision. If you are interested in serving with this outreach ministry, contact office@hinsdalecovenant.com and you will be connected with the ministry team.
