Jesus could have chosen any number of ways to talk about the kingdom of God. He could have lectured, recited poetry, or given the world’s greatest TED talk. But instead, he told stories called parables. These stories are evocative and memorable, conveying to his listeners not only good truth, but also cementing moral lessons that can be directly applied to life. In our year-long pursuit of learning about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we turn to the parables to hear from Jesus, but also to submit ourselves to his chosen way of communicating the values that ought to be shared by gospel people. This series will lead us through the winter and all the way to Holy Week and Easter Sunday. Let’s sit at the feet of the master storyteller together.
Feel free to reach out to the preaching pastor for a PDF of the sermon manuscript or listen again on our podcast here.
We offer a variety of children’s programming on Sunday mornings during our 10:30 service. Sunday Kids Camp (SKC) is for grades 1-2 and 3-4 with Bible lessons and activities. SKC does not meet the first Sunday of each month, so that these children can sit in church with their parents and participate in communion.. Little Lambs is a quieter structure for preschoolers thru first grade with a Bible lesson, games, free play and art. The nursery is available for ages birth through age 5 with lots of free play, crafting and a Bible story. Planning to send your kids? Please complete our consent form here (one needed per family each school year). Please sign-in your child outside the sanctuary before the service. Questions? Please contact Tammy Roach. We look forward to seeing you!
